Bloombo Dicto Wants More Zone-Busting Towers Around Grand Central Station

Towering-Innuendo-or-the-Crystal-Phallus, Michael Bloomberg is obsessed with the height of Manhattan Office and Luxury Condo Towers.

Size Queen

If he had to, Mayor Michael Bloomberg would go so far as to close hospitals so that he could approve zone-busting skyscrapers and high-rise luxury condos in the area around Grand Central. First, Mayor Bloomberg violated the spirit and ethics of Jane Jacobs by allowing the Rudin family to demolish a focal point of Greenwich Village. Now, Mayor Bloomberg is going to violate the spirit and ethics of Jacqueline Kennedy by pushing a demolition plan for the area surrounding Grand Central.

Is New York's status based on Mayor Bloomberg's fixation with size ?

911 Bloombo Dicto Sees No Emergency

Stephen Cassidy, president of the Uniformed Firefighters Association, attacked the Bloomberg administration during a news conference today, exposing the fact that Mayor Bloomberg was deliberately decreasing 911 response times to justify the closure of firehouses. As usual, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn had Mayor Bloomberg's back and would not criticise the billion-dollar broken 911 system.

Rudin May Day Protest

Reminder : Please R.S.V.P. to the protest against the Rudin Family on May Day in connection with the shady way that they foreclosed on St. Vincent's Hospital, forcing it into Bankruptcy Court. Note : the Rudin family then paid pennies on the dollar for St. Vincent's, so that the Rudin family could build a billion-dollary luxury condo and townhouse complex in a zone-busting real estate deal that will make the family hundreds of millions of dollars in profit from the tragic closing of the only hospital in the entire Lower West Side of Manhattan.
