While Mayor Michael Bloomberg complains about the amount of money that the city spends on helping the homeless and those less fortunate, an angel named Jorge Munoz is feeding over 100 people each night in Jackson Heights, Queens.
Instead of simply shifting the cost of helping poor people to different places, as Mayor Bloomberg's homeless program does, what Mr. Munoz has been able to accomplish is to show compassion, humanity, and caring for the people who are -- and belong in -- our community: our neighbors.
